About Boarding Schools
Arts
Each Consortium School offers a rigorous program in the performing and visual arts. The schools value, support and recognize the importance of the Arts as a necessary and vital component of a student's well-rounded education.
The arts programs at our schools are truly amazing. Each student takes courses in both the visual and performing arts, often taught by professional artists. He or she may act in plays, dance, paint, sing, master photography, work with ceramics, and much more. As with the athletics programs, each school provides opportunities for all students to grow artistically, whether they are planning a career in the arts or simply interested in learning something new. However, it would be naïve to expect that all arts programs at each school are identical. Some schools have special expertise in ballet, others in musical theatre, while some may boast a particularly famous artist or sculptor.
If the student is particularly talented and wishes to train with accomplished masters, contact the Consortium to learn which schools are most appropriate.
