About Boarding Schools
Athletics
We believe that students who develop an interest in sports, teamwork and the outdoors when they are young live healthier, more satisfying lives. Schools take pride in their extensive athletic facilities including but not limited to gymnasiums, fitness centers, swimming pools, ice arenas, athletic fields, indoor courts, courts for tennis and other racket sports, track-and-field facilities, skiing areas, golf courses, and much more.
The athletic programs at each school ensure that students receive regular physical training. Whether the student is a future Olympian or simply an “interested participant,” he or she will attain his or her physical potential in a supportive environment. While most of our schools offer more traditional sports like hockey, soccer, soccer, track and field, tennis, and swimming, some may offer less common sports such as equestrian, golf, scuba diving, camping, skiing, gymnastics, and snowboarding.
If the student is an athlete competing at the top level of his or her sport, contact the Consortium to identify the school that will ensure their continued advancement in that particular sport.
