Academics
The academic program at Southwestern Academy focuses on preparing our students to meet the admissions standards of the University of California system (UCLA, Berkeley). Advanced Placement courses are available in math, history, and physics. Students apply to and attend colleges and universities of their choice all over the USA.
Athletics
Athletics and organized sports play a key role in the well-rounded education offered at Southwestern Academy. Sporting activities include Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Track, and Volleyball, for both male and female students. In addition to fostering teamwork and physical fitness, athletics at Southwestern Academy builds camaraderie - and is fun!
Arts
The Visual and Performing Arts Department offers a diverse and integrated arts curriculum, including instruction in drama, music, fine arts, photography, filmmaking, and fashion design. Students are encouraged to explore and develop their unique and individual talents, and are supported by our distinguished teaching staff.

Outdoor Program at Beaver Creek
Southwestern Academy’s campus in Northern Arizona offers a very unique learning environment , vastly different from our campus in Southern California. Our college preparatory program incorporates outdoor education into the curriculum. The campus is located on a 180 acre campus surrounded by a very scenic Red Rock Canyon.
Two Interchangeable Campuses
One school , two campuses and two different learning environments. Not very many boarding schools offer this option for their students. Students can commence their program in Southern California and transfer to our other campus in Arizona for a semester, a year with the option of returning to the home campus based on space availability.
