Summer English Language Programs in the United States or Canada

Course Description

Our programs incorporate all areas of language learning through listening/speaking, reading comprehension and writing. Emphasis is placed on improving grammar skills, reading comprehension and developing fluency in written and oral presentations. Fluency building activities, dictation and vocabulary work focus on improving students’ accuracy. In addition to classroom teaching and individualized instruction, materials covered are reinforced using state-of-the-art computer software. Pronunciation, speaking fluency and grammar exercises are programmed at the level of each student. The program also includes workshop activities such as: art, drama, and music.

North American concepts and culture are introduced to the students through stories and reading passages. Topics are interesting, relevant and fun. Emphasis is placed on encouraging maximum student participation in classroom activities and visits to many interesting local sites.

Immersion into North American Culture

Every effort is made to create a nurturing, homelike atmosphere. Our ESL programs provide participants with a balance between classroom practice and hands on experiences. Emphasis is placed on providing students with a well-rounded cross-cultural opportunity that includes athletics, arts, and the out-of-doors.

Accommodations

Residences generally have apartments that accommodate 2-4 students each.

Many suites have private bath and modern furnishings. A large common room, snack kitchen and laundry facilities truly reflect a family home atmosphere. Every student has telephone and internet access. All meals are provided.

We also offer customized programs for groups of 10 or more students. These programs may include the following combinations of study:

Costs

From $3,300 to $6,400 depending on length of program.  Travel Costs, visas, and various activity fees are not included.
